10 Biggest Movie Goofs

Everyone can attest to watching a classic movie more than once. After watching them a second time, we realized that even some of the greatest movies of all time have made some pretty awful mistakes. Here are ten of the biggest movie goofs we love to make fun of.

The Wizard of Oz (1939) In one scene where the scarecrow is on the ground, it is clearly visible that Dorothy is not wearing her ruby slippers. If they weren’t on her feet where were they? Of course it’s just an error, but this movie could have gone in a completely different direction if anyone else had those slippers.

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) Indy is on the hunt for the Ark of the Covenant before Nazis can get to it. In one scene, a modern extra can be seen with a t-shirt and jeans. A little hard to image the common person dressed in those clothes, it sure would have made running a lot harder.

Back to the Future (1985) We can all agree that a DeLorean that can travel through time would be amazing. But when the design of the DeLorean’s speed dial changes from scene to scene, one would be extremely concerned. Could we blame it on the time travel? Probably not, we’ll stick to blaming the team who changed it.

Star Wars: Episode IV (1977) One of the most popular mistakes is a storm trooper banging his head on a gate. Makes the group look a lot less intimidating but makes for a great laugh. Maybe the reason storm troopers have terrible aim is because they’ve taken one too many bumps on that gate.

Pirates of the Caribbean (2003) Pirates are supposed to be in full attire on a ship. Which is why it’s a little strange seeing a cast member in a white t-shirt during one of the scenes. It would have been very uncharacteristic of a pirate to keep a shirt that white and clean.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) In the middle of the night Harry is awoken from his slumber. When he was sleeping he is wearing a blue crew neck t-shirt. When he is standing his shirt has buttons and has transformed into a Henley shirt. Chances are he didn’t grab his wand to switch out his shirt.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Edward first tried to keep himself from the sun, as to not expose his sparkling skin. But somehow by the third movie, his skin no longer sparkles like a disco ball when he is outside with Bella. Although the whole series is a goof, this one is just too obvious.

The Godfather (1972) During the shooting scene with Sonny at the booth, his windshield is shattered and cracked. In the next scene with the bodyguards, the windshield is unharmed. With a movie that paid so much attention to detail, this was not their finest moment.

It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) Before George is speaking on the phone with Harry, he removes a wreath from his arm and sets it on the table. In the next shot, he is shown with the wreath on his arm again. We’ll give them a break since it was the 40’s.

The Lion King (1994) Throughout the whole movie Nala’s eye color changes from blue to green. Who knows what color they were supposed to be? You would think they could have come to agreement on an eye color.
