Hello? Is it WikiReviews you’re looking for? Why yes, yes it is. Here’s our story, why we’re here, and how we are benefiting the business and consumer communities.
As a consumer and a business owner, Sunil Wagle felt the need to create a platform where the consumer and the business owner could communicate with one another. WikiReviews was founded in 2010 and after 7 long years of perfecting the largest review site on the world wide web, it has finally launched and we couldn’t be more excited for our community to grow.
WikiReviews, based in Irvine, California, is a small, privately owned company that strives to provide honest and thorough reviews about businesses, products, movies, professionals, and even actors. Instead of a silly algorithm to filter and sort reviews, we rely on the community to determine what to do with listing page information, media, reviews, and review disputes.
What sets us apart from other review sites?
For starters, this is a completely free site to read and write reviews! We don’t charge consumers or business owners to register on the site nor will we ever ask for compensation from business owners to host their listing pages or to read, respond, or dispute their reviews.
Secondly, we allow business owners to dispute reviews. As a business owner, Sunil was faced with fake reviews and consumers unfairly judging his company based on negative experiences that never even happened! What’s a business owner to do? Well, use WikiReviews of course. Yes, fake reviews and reviewers exist, but we have taken every precaution to prevent fakers from ruining your experience on WikiReviews. Business owners and users are able to dispute reviews they believe are fake. When this happens, both the owner and the reviewer are asked to upload documentation to support their claims. The community then decides on a Jury panel if the review should be kept, deleted, or moved to the filtered section.
Third, we allow the community to vote on pretty much everything. From disputed reviews and added content, we let the community decide what to do with the information on listing pages. What does this mean for WikiReviews? It means that 100% of the content on WikiReviews was created by members of our community which translates into a more honest and reliable review platform. Pretty neat, huh?
WikiReviews was created for the community and by the community. Sign up for WikiReviews and become a part of the world’s largest (and most honest) reviews community!
